Why this matters

Security technology can protect more than businesses

Many community organisations hold valuable tools, donated goods, emergency supplies, vehicles, fuel, food, medical supplies or equipment. CCTV, alarms, access control and remote monitoring can help protect those assets and support the people doing important work.

```
🛡️
Protect community assets
Help deter theft, vandalism and unwanted after-hours activity around storage rooms, sheds, halls, clubrooms and donation areas.
📲
Improve awareness
Camera and alarm alerts can help volunteers, site managers or committee members know when something needs attention.
🤝
Stretch limited budgets
With manufacturer or distributor support, some projects may become more affordable for genuine community organisations.
```
Who may be suitable

Examples of organisations we may support

This program is designed for genuine community benefit projects where security equipment has a clear practical use.

```
🚒
Volunteer & emergency groups
Volunteer fire brigades, bushfire-related groups, emergency support organisations and local recovery groups.
🦘
Wildlife & animal rescue
Wildlife shelters, rescue groups, animal welfare facilities and organisations protecting donated supplies or equipment.
🥫
Charities & not-for-profits
Food relief groups, donation centres, support services, community storage sites and other genuine not-for-profit groups.
🏠
Community facilities
Community halls, rural meeting points, neighbourhood centres and shared facilities used by local residents.
Schools, clubs & youth groups
Schools, childcare centres, junior sporting clubs, scout groups, youth organisations and community sporting facilities.
🌾
Remote or rural assets
Remote sheds, gates, pumps, tanks, solar equipment, machinery yards or sites with limited power or internet.
```
Example projects

Practical ways security equipment can help

The best projects are specific: a shed to protect, a donation area to secure, a remote asset to monitor, or a community facility that needs better after-hours awareness.

```
🔥
Bushfire season equipment protection
A local brigade, rural group or recovery organisation may need help protecting generators, pumps, fuel, trailers, radios, tools, batteries or donated supplies.
  • CCTV around equipment sheds
  • Alarms for storage rooms or outbuildings
  • Thermal cameras for suitable hot-spot monitoring applications
  • Remote alerts via compatible cameras, NVRs or alarm outputs
🐾
Wildlife rescue shelter security
Wildlife rescue and animal care groups may hold donated food, cages, medicines, trailers and supplies that need after-hours protection.
  • Camera coverage for entry points and storage areas
  • Motion alerts for after-hours activity
  • Gate or driveway cameras
  • Alarm sensors for sheds or supply rooms
🎁
Charity storage & donation centres
Donation warehouses and community support centres may need help protecting donated goods from theft, dumping, damage or unauthorised access.
  • CCTV for loading docks and storage areas
  • Access control for staff-only areas
  • Alarm systems for after-hours protection
  • Visible signage to deter unwanted activity
🏟️
Junior sporting club protection
Sporting clubs often deal with vandalism, equipment theft and after-hours trespassing around clubrooms, canteens and storage areas.
  • CCTV for clubrooms and equipment sheds
  • Alarms for canteens and storage rooms
  • Lighting-compatible camera solutions
  • Mobile alerts for committee members or site managers
Manufacturer support
We work with manufacturers to support good causes
Security Wholesalers works with a wide range of security manufacturers and distributors to help support suitable community-focused security projects.
We have already supported community and good-cause projects in the past, and where there is a genuine need, we can approach our supply partners to assist with special pricing, subsidised products, demonstration equipment or co-funded support.
These projects are assessed case by case, but our goal is simple: to help make practical security equipment more accessible where it can protect volunteers, community assets, donated goods, rural facilities or organisations doing important work.
What we may ask for
Help us understand the project
  • Organisation name and location
  • Type of organisation or cause
  • What you are trying to protect
  • Current security risks or incidents
  • Basic site photos or plans if available
  • Whether power and internet are available
  • Approximate budget, if any
  • Whether the project can be shared as a case study
  • Any procurement or brand restrictions
```
How it works

A simple four-step process

```
Tell us about the project
Send the organisation name, location, security issue, what needs protecting and any basic site details.
We review suitability
We look at the organisation, security need, equipment required and whether there is a clear community benefit.
We approach partners
Where appropriate, we may ask manufacturers or distributors whether they can help with special pricing or product support.
We provide options
If support is available, we provide a practical recommendation or quote. Some projects may receive partial support rather than full funding.
```
Important note: Security equipment is an aid only. It does not replace emergency services, official warnings, insurance, fire plans, evacuation procedures, workplace safety requirements or professional safety advice. For bushfire-related projects, CCTV and thermal cameras may assist with asset protection, hot-spot monitoring or early-warning applications in suitable environments, but they are not a replacement for official bushfire alerts or a bushfire survival plan. All requests are assessed case by case, and support is not guaranteed.

Have a community security project?

If your organisation, club, charity, brigade, shelter or community group has a genuine security requirement, we would be happy to hear from you.

Please send a short summary of your project, what you need to protect, your location and the type of support you are seeking.

```
```
For organisations

Request support

Tell us who you are, where you are located, what needs protecting and what sort of help you are looking for. Photos, site details and any known risks are helpful.

```
For manufacturers
Partner on a good cause
If you are a manufacturer, distributor or industry partner interested in supporting practical community security projects, we work with suppliers on co-funded initiatives, product subsidies, demo stock, pilot programs and other community-focused support.
```

Security Wholesalers supplies security equipment Australia wide. This page is intended to invite suitable community-focused enquiries and manufacturer partnership discussions. Support is assessed individually and may depend on product suitability, stock availability, manufacturer approval and project requirements.
