The InSight S445ZI, part of TP-Link’s VIGI series, is a 4MP IR motorized varifocal turret network camera designed for professional surveillance. With a 1/2.9″ Progressive Scan CMOS sensor, it offers crystal-clear video at a maximum resolution of 2688 x 1520 pixels. The camera features a motorized varifocal lens with a 5x optical zoom (2.7-13.5 mm focal length) and an F1.6 aperture, ensuring adaptability for different viewing angles. It also boasts a powerful infrared illuminator with a range of up to 60 meters, enabling night vision and consistent image quality in low-light conditions. Its wide dynamic range (WDR) of 120 dB enhances the clarity of images in scenes with both bright and dark areas.

The S445ZI supports advanced features like two-way audio communication, intelligent event detection (e.g., motion, intrusion, and loitering), and video compression with H.265+ technology to save bandwidth and storage. It provides flexible management options via the VIGI app, Security Manager, web interface, or cloud VMS, offering secure access with password protection and encryption. This robust design, coupled with a durable housing, makes it suitable for diverse environments.
Key Capabilities
High-Resolution Imaging
The S445ZI delivers 4 MP video at up to 2688 × 1520 resolution using its 1/2.9″ Progressive Scan CMOS sensor. This ensures detailed and clear images suitable for professional surveillance applications, even in challenging environments.
Motorized Varifocal Lens
With a 2.7–13.5 mm motorized varifocal lens offering 5× optical zoom, the camera provides flexible coverage options. Users can adjust from wide-angle monitoring to focused close-up views with ease, ensuring the perfect field of view for each scene.
Enhanced Low-Light Performance
Equipped with a powerful infrared illuminator, the S445ZI provides night vision up to 60 metres. Combined with an F1.6 aperture and advanced image processing, it ensures consistent video quality and detail in dimly lit conditions.
Wide Dynamic Range (WDR)
A 120 dB WDR feature enhances clarity in scenes with strong lighting contrasts, balancing bright and dark areas. This makes the camera effective in environments such as entrances or windows where lighting changes frequently.
Smart Detection & Communication
Intelligent event detection—including motion, intrusion, and loitering—improves proactive security monitoring. The built-in two-way audio capability allows operators to listen and communicate instantly with people on-site when needed.
Efficient Video Compression
Using H.265+ technology, the S445ZI significantly reduces storage and bandwidth requirements compared to older compression formats. This enables longer recording retention without compromising image quality.
