Product Overview
The HiLook HA-KIT-A2 is a standalone 4-wire video intercom kit designed for homes, townhouses, apartments, offices, shops and other small premises requiring simple visitor screening and door release control.
The kit includes a 7-inch indoor monitor, an outdoor door station, a 5-metre 4-wire connection cable, wall mounting hardware and an Australian standard power adapter. Its plug-and-play 4-wire design provides a straightforward alternative to a network-based IP intercom system.
Please note: The HA-KIT-A2 does not support Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Hik-Connect or mobile app access. Calls can only be viewed and answered from the connected indoor monitor.
Standalone 4-Wire Operation
The outdoor door station connects directly to the indoor monitor using four-wire cabling. When a visitor presses the call button, the indoor monitor rings and displays the live video feed from the entrance.
The user can then see the visitor, speak with them using two-way audio and activate a connected electric door strike or lock using the monitor’s unlock button.
No internet connection, network switch, router, cloud account or mobile application is required for normal operation.
7-Inch Indoor Monitor
The included indoor station features a 7-inch colour TFT screen with 1024 × 600 resolution. Physical control buttons provide easy access to answering calls, viewing the door station, communicating with visitors and activating a compatible door lock.
The monitor includes a built-in microphone and speaker for clear two-way voice communication.
HD Outdoor Door Station
The outdoor door station provides 1280 × 720 HD TVI video and a wide viewing angle to help identify visitors standing near the entrance.
A built-in omnidirectional microphone and loudspeaker allow visitors and occupants to communicate through the intercom system.
Infrared Night Vision
Integrated infrared illumination provides night vision up to approximately 3 metres, helping the indoor monitor display visitors in low-light and night-time conditions.
One-Press Door Unlocking
The system supports one-press door unlocking through the door station’s relay output. A compatible electric strike, magnetic lock, lock power supply and any required door hardware must be purchased separately.
The relay supports a maximum rating of 30V DC at 1A. Lock compatibility and wiring requirements should be confirmed before installation.
Expandable Intercom System
The HA-KIT-A2 can be expanded to support:
- Up to 2 compatible door stations
- Up to 3 compatible indoor monitors
- 1 compatible analogue surveillance camera
This makes it suitable for properties requiring an additional entrance station or extra indoor monitors in different rooms.

Important Mobile App Information
The HiLook HA-KIT-A2 is not an IP or Wi-Fi intercom system. It does not connect to Hik-Connect and cannot send calls, video or notifications to a mobile phone.
Customers who require remote answering, mobile notifications or app-based door unlocking should select a compatible HiLook or Hikvision IP video intercom kit with Hik-Connect support.

Installation Considerations
Before purchasing, confirm the required cable length, indoor monitor position, door station mounting location and electric lock requirements.
The included cable is approximately 5 metres long. Longer installations may require additional compatible cabling. Electric locks, strikes, lock power supplies and additional intercom stations are not included unless specifically stated.
