Product Overview

For property owners who want more than passive recording, this HiLook 4-camera kit combines active colour deterrence with AcuSense human and vehicle classification in a ready-to-run PoE system. Built around 4 HiLook IPC-T269-MU/SL all-in-one turret cameras, the kit delivers 6MP outdoor coverage across driveways, entrances, shopfronts and perimeter areas, with each camera capable of triggering a built-in spotlight, blue and red strobe light and audible alarm the moment a person or vehicle is detected. Featuring two-way audio, 30m IR range and IP67 weatherproofing, the cameras connect directly to the included HiLook NVR-104MH-C-4P via PoE, eliminating the need for separate power runs. The NVR supports 4K HDMI output, mobile viewing via HiLookVision and ships with a 2TB surveillance-grade hard drive already installed, making this a complete plug-and-protect system from day one.

Key Capabilities

Active Colour Deterrence

Each IPC-T269-MU/SL triggers a built-in spotlight, blue and red strobe light and audible alarm when a detection event occurs. This visible response targets intruders in real time, going well beyond what a passive recording camera can offer at a driveway or entrance.

AcuSense Human and Vehicle Classification

AcuSense technology filters detections by separating people and vehicles from irrelevant motion such as animals, blowing leaves or passing headlights. This means deterrence triggers and notifications are reserved for the events that actually matter, reducing unwanted alerts across all 4 cameras.

6MP Resolution with 120dB WDR

At 6MP, each camera captures significantly more spatial detail than a 2MP or 4MP camera, useful for reading number plates or identifying faces at entrances. The 120dB wide dynamic range handles challenging lighting conditions such as bright backlit doorways or sun-glare at a driveway gate.

Two-Way Audio

Each camera includes a built-in microphone and speaker, enabling real-time voice communication through the HiLookVision mobile app. This allows the user to speak directly to anyone on-site, whether to greet a delivery driver or warn an intruder, without needing a separate intercom device.

4-Port PoE NVR – No Separate Power Required

The HiLook NVR-104MH-C-4P powers all 4 cameras over the same Cat5e/Cat6 cable used for data, removing the need for separate power adapters at each camera location. The NVR supports plug-and-play camera detection, simplifying the setup process for installers and end users alike.

2TB Installed and Ready to Record

A 2TB surveillance-grade hard drive comes pre-installed in the NVR, so the system begins recording immediately after installation. There is no need to source or fit a separate drive before commissioning, which saves time on install day and removes a common setup step that buyers often overlook.

Best For

  • Home Driveways and Front Entries: The 2.8mm lens and 30m IR range on each IPC-T269-MU/SL provide clear coverage of approach paths, with active deterrence engaging any confirmed person or vehicle detection automatically.
  • Small Retail Premises and Shopfronts: AcuSense classification reduces false notifications during business hours while the two-way audio and strobe deterrence provide a visible response layer outside trading hours.
  • Small Business Yards and Carparks: IP67-rated cameras handle outdoor exposure year-round, and the PoE NVR simplifies cabling across a small perimeter with up to 4 camera positions connected from a single recorder.
  • First-Time System Buyers Wanting a Complete Kit: With cameras, NVR and 2TB storage all included and pre-matched, this kit avoids the compatibility guesswork of assembling individual components for a first installation.

Why Choose the HiLook 4CH AcuSense Active Deterrence Kit

What separates this kit from a basic IP camera package is the combination of active deterrence hardware and AcuSense classification working together in a single all-in-one camera design. A standard 6MP turret camera records and notifies; the IPC-T269-MU/SL also fires a spotlight, triggers a blue and red strobe and broadcasts an alarm the moment a classified human or vehicle event is confirmed. This level of on-camera response is built in, not reliant on a separate device. The NVR-104MH-C-4P provides 4K output, H.265+ compression to extend storage life on the included 2TB drive, and mobile access through HiLookVision. Available at Security Wholesalers, this kit is suited to buyers who want active deterrence at multiple points around a property without the cost or complexity of a commercial-grade system.

Buyer Decision Tips

Lens Coverage: The 2.8mm fixed lens on the IPC-T269-MU/SL provides a wide field of view, well suited to covering a driveway gate, shopfront entry or carpark bay from a corner or eave mount. If you need to cover a long, narrow approach such as a laneway or fence line where you require more reach at distance, a camera with a longer focal length or motorised zoom lens would be a better fit for those specific positions. For most home and small commercial perimeter positions, 2.8mm works effectively at typical mounting heights of 2.5m to 4m.

Storage Planning: The included 2TB HDD supports continuous recording across 4 x 6MP cameras. Actual retention time varies depending on whether you record continuously or on motion detection only, and on the H.265+ compression settings applied in the NVR. Motion-triggered recording at default settings will extend storage life significantly compared to 24/7 continuous recording. The NVR-104MH-C-4P supports one HDD bay, so if you require extended retention you should review your recording schedule settings or consider upgrading the installed drive to a higher capacity option at purchase.

Ideal Use Cases

Home Perimeter Coverage

4 IPC-T269-MU/SL cameras with 30m IR and IP67 rating cover typical residential perimeter points including front driveway, side gates and rear yard. AcuSense classification keeps phone notifications relevant to actual human or vehicle events rather than pets or wind-blown foliage.

Small Retail Shop or Office

The two-way audio on each camera lets staff or owners communicate with visitors or respond to after-hours detections via the HiLookVision app. The blue and red strobe and audible deterrence add a visible response layer that passive cameras cannot provide at a shopfront or entry point.

Carpark and Outdoor Yard Monitoring

IP67 weatherproofing across all 4 cameras handles year-round outdoor exposure without housing concerns. The active deterrence triggers on confirmed vehicle detections, making this kit suited to small commercial yards, carparks or storage areas where unauthorised vehicle access is a concern.

Rental Properties and Strata

The PoE plug-and-play architecture of the NVR-104MH-C-4P makes the system straightforward to install and relocate. With 4 cameras covering entry and exit points, and the NVR managing all recording centrally, this kit suits property managers handling small residential or strata sites.

Construction Site Compound

Active deterrence at a small compound entry or tool storage area provides an on-the-spot response when a person is detected after hours. The 6MP resolution assists with identifying individuals at gate or fence positions where basic HD cameras may lack sufficient detail.

Choosing the Right Model

  • Choose this kit if: You need active deterrence at multiple outdoor positions with AcuSense detection, two-way audio, and a ready-to-record PoE system – all from a single purchase with storage pre-installed and cameras pre-matched to the NVR.
  • Choose a different kit if: You need more than 4 camera positions, as the NVR-104MH-C-4P is limited to 4 PoE channels with no expansion capability. If your site requires 6 or more cameras, an 8-channel PoE NVR kit would be a more appropriate starting point to allow for future growth without replacing the recorder.
  • Choose a different kit if: Your primary priority is long-range coverage along a fence line or extended driveway beyond 30m. The fixed 2.8mm wide-angle lens on the IPC-T269-MU/SL is not designed for narrow long-range framing, and a kit built around varifocal or bullet-style cameras would serve those specific positions better.

FAQs

  1. Does the kit come ready to record out of the box?
Yes. The HiLook NVR-104MH-C-4P ships with a 2TB surveillance-grade hard drive already installed. Once the cameras are connected to the NVR via PoE and the NVR is powered, the system can begin recording without any additional hardware. You will need to connect an HDMI monitor for initial setup, or use the HiLookVision app for remote configuration.
  2. How does the active deterrence work on the IPC-T269-MU/SL cameras?
When AcuSense confirms a person or vehicle has entered the camera’s detection zone, the camera can automatically trigger its built-in spotlight, blue and red strobe light and audible alarm. These responses can also be controlled manually through the HiLookVision mobile app with a single tap, allowing you to arm or disarm the deterrence function remotely.
  3. Can I use the two-way audio to speak through the cameras remotely?
Yes. Each IPC-T269-MU/SL has a built-in microphone and speaker. Through the HiLookVision app on a smartphone or tablet, you can listen to audio from the camera location and speak back in real time. This works over your internet connection and does not require you to be on the same local network as the NVR.
  4. What does AcuSense actually filter out compared to standard motion detection?
Standard motion detection responds to any change in pixels within the frame, which includes animals, rain, shadows and vehicle headlights sweeping across a wall. AcuSense on the IPC-T269-MU/SL uses intelligent classification to identify whether the moving object is a human or a vehicle, and only triggers alerts and deterrence actions for those confirmed classifications. This substantially reduces the volume of irrelevant push notifications across a 4-camera system.
  5. How much cable do I need to run from the NVR to each camera?
The NVR-104MH-C-4P powers and connects cameras over Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cable. The standard maximum PoE cable run is 100m per camera. If any camera position exceeds that distance, a PoE extender would be required. Cable is not included in the kit and should be factored into your installation planning based on the distances between the NVR location and each camera mounting point.
  6. How long will the 2TB hard drive store footage from all 4 cameras?
Actual retention depends heavily on your recording mode. Running all 4 x 6MP cameras on continuous 24/7 recording will consume storage faster than motion-triggered recording. With H.265+ compression and motion-triggered recording at typical sensitivity settings, most small sites achieve several weeks of retention on 2TB. Continuous recording across 4 channels at full resolution will be considerably shorter. Adjusting the NVR recording schedule is the most effective way to extend retention without upgrading the drive.
  7. Where can I get support or advice on this kit?
This kit is part of the Security Wholesalers range, and the team can assist with pre-purchase questions about placement, cabling and compatibility as well as post-sale technical support. The HiLookVision app also includes guided setup steps for first-time users connecting cameras to the NVR-104MH-C-4P.

Cabling Considerations

  • Cable Type: Cat5e minimum, Cat6 recommended for all camera runs from the NVR-104MH-C-4P to each IPC-T269-MU/SL camera position.
  • Maximum PoE Cable Run: 100m per camera from the NVR PoE port to the camera. Runs beyond this distance will require a PoE extender to maintain power and signal integrity.
  • PoE Considerations: All 4 cameras are powered directly over the Ethernet cable by the NVR-104MH-C-4P. No separate power adapters or injectors are required at any camera position, provided cable runs stay within 100m.
  • Wiring Tips: Route cables through conduit or within wall cavities wherever the run is exposed to outdoor weather or physical damage risk. Terminate all cables with RJ45 plugs rated for outdoor or solid-core cable as appropriate for your installation environment. Label each cable run at the NVR end to simplify future troubleshooting or camera replacement.
