The Dahua TPC-SD5641 Thermal Hybrid Speed Dome Camera combines long-range thermal detection with high-definition visible surveillance in a single heavy-duty PTZ platform. Designed for critical infrastructure, industrial facilities, large commercial sites and perimeter protection, it provides reliable monitoring during the day, at night and in difficult lighting or weather conditions.
Its high-resolution 640 × 512 vanadium oxide thermal sensor detects heat signatures independently of visible light. Depending on the selected thermal lens, the camera supports long-range detection of people, vehicles and potential heat-related events. Thermal functions include heat detection, hot and cold spot tracking, electronic image stabilisation, digital detail enhancement and a choice of 18 thermal colour palettes.
The separate 4MP visible-light camera features a powerful 45× optical zoom lens with a 3.95mm to 177.75mm focal range. This allows operators to move from wide-area monitoring to detailed observation of distant targets. Integrated infrared illumination provides visibility at distances of up to 100 metres in complete darkness.
Intelligent perimeter protection supports tripwire and intrusion rules with human and vehicle classification, helping reduce false alarms caused by irrelevant movement. Automatic tracking allows the PTZ camera to follow detected targets across the monitored area.
The PTZ mechanism provides continuous 360-degree pan movement, up to 200 presets, tours, patterns and scanning functions. Video can be transmitted using H.265 or H.264 compression, while ONVIF support allows integration with compatible network video recorders and video management systems.
For flexible installation, the camera supports Hi-PoE or 36V DC power, local recording to a microSD card of up to 512GB, two-way audio, seven alarm inputs and two alarm outputs. Its IP66-rated housing, wide operating temperature range and 6kV surge protection make it suitable for demanding outdoor environments.
