Here’s a step-by-step setup guide for the Dahua 4MP SD6C3432XB-HNR-AGQ-PV TIOC 32x Starlight IR WizSense 4G Network PTZ Camera using LAN (wired) connection to your modem/router, including activation and enabling P2P for remote access:

️ Setup Requirements

  • LAN (Ethernet) cable

  • Camera power supply or PoE injector (if not PoE-capable)

  • Computer connected to same network (for initial config)

  • Dahua Config Tool (optional but helpful)

  • Modem/router with DHCP enabled

1. Physical Setup

  1. Connect the camera’s LAN port to your modem/router using a standard Ethernet cable.

  2. Power the camera using either a 12V DC adapter or PoE if your setup supports it.

  3. Wait 1–2 minutes for the camera to boot.

2. Detect and Activate the Camera

Option A: Using Dahua Config Tool

  1. Download ConfigTool from Dahua’s website.

  2. Open the tool and let it scan the network.

  3. The camera should appear as Inactive with an IP like 192.168.1.108.

  4. Click “Initialize”, set a strong admin password, and follow the prompts to activate the camera.

Option B: Without ConfigTool

  1. On your PC, set your local IP to the same subnet (e.g., 192.168.1.100 if camera is 192.168.1.108).

  2. Open a browser and go to: http://192.168.1.108

  3. Activate the camera by setting a password and security questions.

3. Network Settings

  1. Login to the camera via web browser using its IP.

  2. Go to Setup > Network > TCP/IP:

    • Enable DHCP (recommended), or

    • Set a static IP within your router’s range.

  3. Go to Network > Default Gateway / DNS and set:

    • Gateway: Your router’s IP (e.g., 192.168.1.1)

    • Preferred DNS: 8.8.8.8, Alternate DNS: 8.8.4.4

4. Enable P2P (Remote Access via DMSS App)

  1. Navigate to: Setup > Network > P2P

  2. Enable P2P

  3. Make sure Status = Online (if not, check internet connection and DNS settings)

  4. Scan the QR code shown here using the DMSS app on your phone to add the camera remotely

5. Add to DMSS App

  1. Install DMSS from the App Store or Google Play

  2. Tap “+” > SN/Scan and scan the P2P QR code

  3. Enter camera name, login details (admin/password), and tap Save

6. Optional Settings

  • Change default ports if required: Setup > Network > Connection

  • Set time/NTP: Setup > System > Date & Time

  • Configure alerts: Setup > Event > Smart Plan / Motion Detection
