This model is well suited to homes, businesses, warehouses, shops, and perimeter areas where you want 4K image quality without moving to a full IP system. Dahua’s Pro Series positions it as a reliable SMB and project-grade camera, and the built-in mic adds useful audio evidence where audio recording is permitted.

Why choose this camera?
If you want a high-resolution coax camera with strong night performance, this model is a very solid choice. The 2.8mm lens gives a wide viewing angle, the 4K output provides strong image detail, and the built-in mic can help capture extra context alongside video. Its true WDR helps in difficult lighting such as entrances, roller doors, shopfronts and areas with strong backlight.
Lens and Viewing Angle
This version uses a 2.8mm fixed lens. On the datasheet, the 2.8mm lens provides an approximate field of view of 111° horizontal, 59° vertical and 131° diagonal. That makes it a good option when you want broad scene coverage rather than narrow long-distance identification.
Image Performance
The camera uses a 4K CMOS sensor with maximum resolution of 3840 × 2160. It supports up to 15fps at 4K, along with 5MP and 4MP output modes depending on the format in use. Dahua also lists Starlight, 3D noise reduction, Smart IR and electronic defog as supported features.
Low Light and Night Vision
For low-light work, Dahua specifies minimum illumination of 0.001 lux in colour at F1.5, 0.0001 lux in black and white at F1.5, and 0 lux with the illuminator on. The camera uses IR illumination with a rated distance of up to 60 metres.
Audio
This model includes a built-in microphone. The datasheet states one-channel audio input via built-in MIC, and Dahua notes audio transmission over coax is supported on HDCVI.
Weather Resistance and Build
The housing is rated IP67 and uses a metal casing. Dahua states the camera passed dust and immersion testing and can function after immersion in 1 metre of water for up to 30 minutes. Operating temperature is listed as -40°C to +60°C.
Compatibility
This is an HDCVI camera, but the output can be switched between CVI, TVI, AHD and CVBS via DIP switch. That makes it useful for certain multi-format recorder environments, but recorder compatibility should still be confirmed before purchase, especially if you are matching to an older DVR/XVR.
DORI Distances for 2.8mm Lens
According to the datasheet, the approximate DORI distances for the 2.8mm version are:
• Detect: 85.4m
• Observe: 34.2m
• Recognize: 17.1m
• Identify: 8.5m
