Cabling Arrangement (Very Important)

The HA-KIT-H1 AU is a Hybrid 4-Wire Intercom Kit, meaning the outdoor station and indoor monitor communicate over a simple 4-core cable run.

Standard Cabling Layout

You run one 4-core cable between:

Outdoor Door Station → Indoor Monitor

This cable carries:

• Video signal

• Audio signal

• Power delivery

• Control communication

Recommended Cable Type

Installers typically use:

• 4-core security cable (14/0.20 or similar)

• 4-core figure-8 + data cable

• Cat5e/Cat6 can also be used (using 4 conductors)

Typical Wiring Distance

• Suitable for standard residential runs

• Longer distances are possible with good cable quality

Network / App Connection (Separate)

The 4-wire cable is only between monitor and door station.

If you want mobile app answering, you also connect:

Indoor Monitor → Wi-Fi (or Ethernet LAN)

So the monitor becomes the bridge between the door station and Hik-Connect.

Door Unlock Wiring

To unlock a strike or gate, you wire the lock to the door station relay terminals.

This allows:

• Unlock from indoor screen

• Unlock from mobile app (when configured)
