The Hikvision iDS-MCD402-ES is a rugged, high-performance portable surveillance kit designed for mobile enforcement, event deployment, remote operations and rapid-response security coverage. It comes with dual-camera optics: a high-zoom varifocal lens (Lens 1: 6-216 mm) and a wide-angle fixed lens (Lens 2: 2.8 mm), delivering both detailed long-range views and broad contextual coverage.
With 36× optical zoom and 12× digital zoom on the main lens, it can capture distant details such as licence plates or faces from afar. It offers full-scene PTZ functionality: 360° continuous pan and –20° to +90° tilt (with auto-flip). An embedded screen provides status read-outs (battery, GPS, 3G/4G connectivity, storage, Bluetooth/WiFi, algorithm mode). The system supports replaceable battery operation for extended use off-grid. Built-in analytics include ANPR, face recognition, helmet/workwear detection, smoking detection, intrusion/area-invasion alerting, and supports dual-camera capture simultaneously.
This unit is ideal for temporary or mobile surveillance setups: traffic enforcement, parking-lot monitoring, remote site access, construction site perimeters, and event security. Thanks to its quick-mount magnetic base/tripod bracket and compact footprint, it can be deployed rapidly without major infrastructure changes.

Installer Notes
-
For mobile deployment, ensure the base is placed on stable ground or fixed with anchor bolts to resist vibrations.
-
Confirm battery pack is fully charged before deployment; check runtime under target resolution & analytics load.
-
Use the embedded screen to verify GPS lock, storage availability, WiFi/4G connection, and analytics mode prior to site activation.
-
For ANPR functionality, ensure the camera is aligned perpendicular to vehicle flow at ~10-30 m distance, and adjust zoom accordingly.
-
Test the pan/tilt movement to ensure the magnetic base or tripod permits full 360° rotation without obstruction.
-
For data off-load, use the dual TF card slots and ensure card capacity supports recording schedule; enable overwrite if needed.
-
Secure the device against environmental exposure: protect from direct rain, excessive dust, or interference when in outdoor use.
-
Keep firmware updated to maintain analytics accuracy and security compliance; disable unused services and set strong admin credentials.
-
When used in crowded events or mobile patrols, test smart-algorithm triggers (smoke/workwear/helmet detection) and adjust sensitivity to avoid false alarms.
-
Make sure 4G or WiFi connectivity is enabled and tested, especially when remote live access or real-time alerting is required.
