The Hikvision DS-2XC3646G0H-LIZ(S)(U)(PA) is part of the “Anti-Corrosion Series” designed specifically for aggressive and salt-laden environments such as coastal zones, chemical plants or industrial facilities. The camera features a 1/1.8″ progressive-scan CMOS sensor delivering up to 2560×1440 resolution.

With motorised vari-focal lens options (2.7–13.5 mm or 7–35 mm), the field of view can be adjusted for either wide-area coverage or focused long-distance monitoring. For example, at 2.7–13.5mm the horizontal FOV spans approximately 107.4° to 39.8°, and for the 7–35mm variant, approx. 40.3° to 14.5°.

Illumination is provided via hybrid IR and white-light modes, with a supplementary-light range up to ~50 metres in typical conditions. The anti-corrosion polymer housing is rated for NEMA 4X, C5-M (720h salt spray), and is able to operate reliably in highly corrosive or moisture-laden atmospheres.

Additional key details include a very low minimum illumination of 0.001 lux at F1.2 (AGC ON), 0 lux when the supplementary light is active, and support for HEOP (Hikvision Embedded Open Platform) with 1.5 TOPS computing power, 60 MB system memory and 371 MB smart RAM.

Designed for harsh-environment applications, this camera is ideal for outdoor or sheltered installation where corrosion resistance, long-term reliability and adjustable coverage are required.

Installer Notes

  • Ensure mounting height and angle match the selected lens zoom range (e.g., use 7–35 mm for long-distance coverage).

  • Cleanliness of lens/window is vital in corrosive/harsh environments — regular inspection recommended.

  • Verify power/source meets spec for any supplementary lighting modes in low-light or full-dark conditions.

  • Pay attention to cable glands, conduit, and sealing to maintain anti-corrosion integrity.

  • Configure HEOP/analytics as required; firmware updates recommended prior to commissioning.
