Product Overview

The Akuvox A02 is a compact IP access control terminal that combines a door controller, RFID reader, and touch keypad into one robust unit. Designed for modern access management, the A02 supports PIN codes, RFID credentials, and NFC mobile access, giving flexible authentication options for commercial entrances, offices, and shared facilities. With web-based configuration and PoE support, it delivers reliable performance while simplifying installation and system integration across single or multi-door deployments.

Why Choose the A02

The Akuvox A02 stands out when you need a secure, versatile access control solution in a compact package. Its integration of controller, reader, and keypad reduces equipment count and cabling complexity, speeding installation and lowering total cost of ownership. By supporting PIN, RFID and NFC credentials you can tailor access to user preferences and transition to mobile access seamlessly over time. With IP65 durability and flexible mounting, the A02 suits high-traffic doors and outdoor entry points with dependable reliability and simple management using standard web interfaces.

Key Capabilities

All-in-one access controller
The A02 integrates the door controller, card reader and touch keypad into a single IP device. This unified design reduces the number of devices needed at the entry point, cuts installation time, and delivers a cleaner, more professional finish for commercial environments.

Flexible credential options
Support for PIN codes, multi-frequency RFID cards (13.56 MHz and 125 kHz) and NFC mobile access offers multiple secure ways to authenticate users. This gives businesses the flexibility to provide both traditional card access and modern phone-based entry.

IP networking & PoE support
Equipped with Ethernet connectivity and 802.3af Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) support, the A02 can be easily networked for remote management and eliminates the need for separate power cabling. This simplifies setup and reduces wiring complexity on site.

Durable outdoor-ready design
With an IP65 rating and aluminium alloy construction, the A02 is built to withstand dust, moisture and variable weather conditions. Whether mounted indoors or outdoors, it provides resilient performance for entrances and gates.

User and event logging
The terminal supports storage of up to 20,000 credentials and logs as many as 100,000 events. This helps administrators track access activity and maintain detailed audit trails for security and compliance.

Key Features

  • Multi-mode authentication: Users can authenticate via PIN code, RFID cards or NFC-enabled mobile device, offering flexibility and convenience for staff and visitors at a single door or across a larger system.

  • Compact IP design: The A02’s compact footprint makes it suitable for entrances with limited space, while still delivering full access control functionality that integrates with networks and management systems.

  • Web-based administration: Configure and manage the A02 through a standard web browser interface, reducing the need for specialised software and making remote setup and monitoring simpler for IT or security teams.

  • PoE or 12V DC power: Power the device using Power-over-Ethernet for streamlined installation and fewer cables, or use 12V DC if PoE is not available.

  • Relay output and inputs: Built-in relay and input ports allow direct connection to locks, exit buttons, and door sensors, supporting complete door control workflows without additional hardware.

  • IP65 weather resistance: The A02’s robust housing protects against dust and moisture ingress, making it suitable for outdoor or semi-exposed doorways while maintaining reliable long-term operation.
