A. Mount the Module
-
Use a DIN guide rail to mount the DS-K2M002X securely inside an enclosure or cabinet.
B. Connect Power
-
Supply 12 VDC ±15% to the module.
-
Ensure the power source can handle ≤50W consumption.
C. Wire the Doors
-
Lock Outputs (x2): Connect electronic locks (fail-secure/fail-safe).
-
Exit Buttons (x2): Wire standard push-to-exit switches.
-
Door Contacts (x2): Connect magnetic door sensors for open/close status.

D. Connect Readers
-
RS-485 Readers (up to 4): Use for OSDP-compatible readers.
-
Wiegand Readers (up to 2): Standard 26/34-bit readers are supported.
Redundancy Note: RS-485 supports single-point fault detection and recovery for reader communication.
E. RS-485 to Access Controller
-
Use RS-485 (2 channels available) to connect the module to a Hikvision access controller (e.g., DS-K2702WX-E1 or DS-K2704X).
-
Set unique device address via DIP switches if required by controller.
️ 2. Configuration & Software Setup
A. Login to Controller
